CampBoks in the Bavarian travelling world

F.re.e in Munich is southern Germany's largest travel and leisure trade fair and a must-attend event for anyone who loves camping. In 2025, we were there for the first time with CampBoks and were delighted with the great interest, exciting discussions and an all-round successful trade fair.

Once again, we were particularly impressed by the loyalty of our community. Many of our existing customers visited us directly at the trade fair. Some even sent us pictures of their CampBoks experiences. For us, F.re.e remains a trade fair with heart and mind - and Munich is a place where people like to spend time anyway.

The trade fair took place in February and the anticipation of spring was palpable. It was the perfect time to bring camping and outdoor adventures out of hibernation and finally get going again.

There was no shortage of culinary delights either. Our lunch breaks were typically Bavarian (veal sausage, sauerkraut, pretzels), the perfect mix of enjoyment and a powerful energy boost. So it was an advantage to have the stand right next to the trade fair café this time.

As a trained carpenter, I had of course planned to make an installation for my T6 Trapo myself. After discovering Campboks, I realised that I would never have been able to create such a compact and sensationally well thought-out unit straight away. It gives you an idea of how much development and time has gone into today's product. The price was definitely worth it. The product itself is superbly made and the process from ordering to collection from Campboks is simply great. On top of that, the team with the bosses and their history is just a very cool and friendly bunch 👍🏻 ! I am always impressed, I collected my Boks for the Ducato in person last year and was delighted with the reception, friendliness and product identification of Paul and the team. Later had a small complaint about the right-hand seat bench, which was super organised by his new partner René near Bremen. René near Bremen with a lot of fun, friendliness and ambition. Constructive criticism is always dealt with, and the team had already noticed some things and were working on them. I currently had a small issue with my table, screws had flaked off due to expansion. As always, the solution was great and I received a new, perfectly packaged and pre-drilled table with newly dimensioned screws. Everything is ready for camping again. A super nice team. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and asked more than once if we wanted a coffee. The campbox was installed with precision and then everything was explained very well. We also received a Christmas present, which is not a matter of course, so we would like to thank them again. I was able to pick up my campboks 3 months earlier than expected. The guys were very patient and helpful with all my questions. The conversion with side panel customisation for my Nissan NV 300 went smoothly and quickly. I went on holiday with it for a week straight afterwards and was able to really enjoy it. Nothing rattles, everything has a high-quality finish and I've now demonstrated it so often that I could go to trade fairs 😁 Thank you for fulfilling my camper dream. How is the CampBoks secured in the vehicle?

The CampBoks are regarded as cargo and must therefore be secured to the lashing point slots provided for this purpose or, in the case of vehicles with seat rails, to the points provided so that it cannot slip during normal driving manoeuvres or during emergency braking.

Can I remove the CampBoks again?

Yes, our CampBoks are designed in such a way that they can be removed within 5-10 minutes without changing anything on the vehicle.

Will the CampBoks fit in my vehicle, even if it is not listed?

The CampBoks can be installed in any vehicle with a minimum width between the wheel arches of 119 cm and a load compartment length of 200 cm for the extended bed or 137 cm for the folded bed (sitting position). There should also be enough headroom to be able to sit upright in the interior.

Is it possible to leave the second row of seats installed?

Unfortunately, this is not possible in most vehicles. With some long wheelbases, however, this is possible, or the second row of seats can be folded forward to set up the bed (2 metres).

Can the bench seat in the interior be used while driving?

No. Our CampBoks are considered cargo and may not be used while travelling.

Can the refrigerator also be operated from the inside?

No, the refrigerator is located in the external drawer and is very difficult to access from the inside.

How is the CampBoks dispatched?

No. Our kitchen body has been customised for the Primus Moja and can only be used with it. It locks in place with a special magnetic attachment so that it cannot slip when travelling.

Can I also collect the CampBoks?

Of course, you can also collect your CampBoks directly from us and have them installed by us free of charge.
